Ah well... here I am sittin at a cyber wasting time doing nothing. Why would I do so? Simply because I can. Its quite perfect, the excuse of the lack of resources and the want to do nothing... as different from the lack of the want to do something, it is the want to do nothing that drives one in a chaotic maze of work to be done for an indescribable end that is too obvious to be ignored. Despite the nonsense that gets penned, there are certain undeniably sane thoughts that do go unmentioned- but thats restricted to the days of hangovers. (Did ye know, by the way, that every hour of sleep missed can be equated to a pint of alcohol? Drunk??? indeed, thats most of my life here :P) Perhaps some old case or the other will soon catch my attention before the day is done, or some sociologically objective observation that no one would have missed to take a stance on. Until then, this object of the universal conspiracy against itself remains
Uncontrolled.

Kolkata...
The mist on the path of life has cleared up slightly... atleast I know where I will be for the next few years, Kolkata. The heat takes getting used to, though- I think I have, considering 32 degrees seems chilly now. The workload has started, and so the party ends... atleast I have my path set, my eyes focussed upon a faded light through the mist... I shall run. It may tire me, but the inertia will keep me running for all I'm worth. The marathon has begun, the exercise exhilerates, and the company is infectious- Bliss? no- Merely fun. but that is what life lands up being in the end- despite the not-so-amusing parts, the end summation can be nothing less.

Orkutized.
Lets see...
Days of hard core scramming have orkutized my life... I had to make a list of items to buy for my possibly one way trip to kolkata, and landed up scramming the sheet. and to think no one read that...
Never mind. As far as I'm concerned, an orkutized life is the least of my worries. Besides orkut, there are a vast number of online investments that claim my ephemeral attention every now and then... for example, that old mailbox, I think it's called yahoo... It rarely recieves any mail, but I need to use it for fear of inactivation- (a deactivated account? the horror)
Then there's that picture I drew a few days back, and the universe seems to be conspiring vehemently against me getting it scanned. Three cyber centres in the IT hub and not one has a working scanner. Not one. I am left wondering if the "silicon valley of India" was just a misnomer.
And finally, calvinball... another name for my life, which seems to have twisted into something so inexplicable that I am left staring at it from the stands, wondering how the game will progress if at all. Besides this random ranting, theres more I cannot do, and less I can, and too much that I must. While I try to figure out how that works out, my sleepy cat mocks at me with her yawn, demonstrating the highest compliment for this post- that it is nothing but worthless scram.
Thank you for reading, (if you did) and have a good day.

To survive in Bangalore.
A few rules people in Bangalore necessarily follow...
1. Make sure you have your own transport. Licence unimportant. public transport will cease to operate, and the police will not ask you for your licence if an actor dies.
2. Always carry with you some proof of your affiliation. A karnataka flag, a picture of a Kannada actor, (preferably that of Dr. Rajkumar) to show angry mobs. It will win you enough space to run for your life, if need be.
3. Avoid speaking languages that aren't Kannada in public places. In private places, be doubly sure you cannot be overheard.
4. If no. 3 is not possible, know enough Kannada to say "bitbidi nannanna, husharilla, manege hogi annavra yatreyannu nodbeku..." or atleast enough sense not to say "Nanage Kannada gottilla"
5. If even that is not possible, feign dumbness. who knows, the theatre near you might have suffered a power cut while showing Jogi. or worse, it might be showing a Tamil movie. (esp with Tamil new year close at hand)
6. Be fit enough to walk home from WHEREVER you are, in case of a crisis. Your transport may be vandalised at the drop of a tamil word. Even if it wasnt you who dropped it. Mobs do not understand logic. Use deserted routes during a crisis, be assured that all anti social elements that may otherwise harm you will not be there at times of state mourning.
7. Practice acting. A face of intense mourning could well spare your life.
8. Agree wholeheartedly (or atleast pretend to) with anyone who says "Huttidare, Kannada naadalli huttabeku..."
9. Make sure your house is fireproof, stone proof, mob proof and sound proof.
10. STAY AT HOME.

Thankfully, I'll have company while Im at it... not that it minces matters too much; Misery loves company and I'll have plenty of that (company I mean)

I'm In!!!! (Almost)
Chocolates all around, drinks for all adults, (I'm an adult according to Yahoo, cuz I hitched my birth date there :P ) and I suppose it would be stale to say- I'M DRUNK!!!!! elated, joyous, relieved, and all other adjectives you can think of... The reason behind this particular burst of insanity can be seen quite clearly on the list of selected candidates of a reputed college. One down, two to beat.
I heave a sigh of relief, and cross my fingers that I'll get through the next one as well. Till then, I remain,
Blissfully yours,
